Until 1980, Diakofti had only five to six small houses at the most. During the British occupation it was destined for a safe harbor with settlement development. Since 1995, when the modern harbor began operating, Diakofti is developing constantly. Today it is one of the busiest places on the island, attracting many visitors with its beautiful beach, coffee shops, restaurants, shops and great accommodation.
Diakofti is a perfect place to spend your whole day. Swim on its shallow, sandy beach, play games on the sand until you tire of the sun and find shade in some of the neighboring small taverns and coffee shops. Sample fish and other fresh seafood from the local fishermen.
Today, Diakofti offers many summer residences, many for sale and further exploitation. Many purchase real estate in this area. Rooms for rent and hotels are plentiful, and you will have no trouble finding lodgings in the area.
